After many years of learning and enjoying music herself, Camille feels its about time she begins to share everything she's learnt and come to love. Camille is currently a student at the New Zealand School of Music in Wellington, majoring in Musicology. This has given Camille a huge base from which she has deepened her love of all things music, from Bach to the Beatles, opera through to heavy metal! She's been lucky enough during her time at university to tutor a group of younger children, helping with basic keyboard and theory skills that will hopefully set them up for a lifetime of continued learning.
Camille has been playing the piano for many years, and is currently working towards gaining her DipABRSM. Aside from playing for personal enjoyment, Camille has gained experience performing in competitions staged throughout the Wellington region, as well as at various times during a year long stint in Germany. She also has a background playing and tutoring the flute, and enjoyed several years playing with an incredible bunch of people in one of the sub-bands run by the RNZAF. The thing that most inspires Camille to keep going is the immense satisfaction felt by a job well done, or in this case, a piece played from the heart. Because in the end, Camille feels that’s really all that matters!
"Camille has really inspired our girls with their music. They love hearing her play and look forward to working with her every week." Kath Medlicott.
"I have learnt heaps from Camille – she is really friendly and patient and has lots of games that make learning music fun." Ruby Medlicott, aged 9.
