DRUM LESSONS

The drums are a lot of fun to play and every rock or pop band needs a drummer!

At Encore School of Music, we can teach you how to:

• Drum to different musical genres
• Understand the basic concepts and terminology of rhythm
• Use good drumming techniques to help you be a fast, efficient drummer
• Grip the drumsticks in a way that is comfortable and helps you drum with speed and accuracy
• Play new beats and fills and be exposed to new musical ideas
• Drum along to some of your favourite songs
• Read drum music
• Create your own drum solo
• Understand how the different characteristics of a drumstick affect how you play and sound
• Use a metronome to be a good timekeeper
