ELLA TISDALL WELLINGTON VOCAL TEACHER
Born and bred in the Manawatu, Ella grew up as the only musical member of her whanau. She was playing harp before she could read or write but quickly found her passion in singing. Ella is a classically trained singer and has a Grade 8 in singing with Trinity College of Music.
Ella has a Bachelor of Arts from Victoria University, with a double major in Music Studies (specialisation in Ethnomusicology) and Philosophy. She also has a certificate in Music Business from Berklee College of Music EdX.
As a singer / songwriter, she enjoys composing songs of country and jazz genres. She has an eclectic taste in music and a strong appreciation for film scores and musicals.
As a teacher, Ella likes to focus on building confidence and creating a thorough understanding of the importance of breath work and singing basics. Lessons with Ella are styled to each individual’s needs and wants. There is no greater feeling than seeing a student come out of their shell and embrace their musical talents.
